Food pantry
Through our volunteers, we provide for the food insecure in High Point. Each month we distribute thousands of pounds of groceries to residents in southwest High Point.

The Food Pantry receives food from the following places:

-
Private donation of food
-
Food drives
-
The Federal Government through The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)
-
Donations from local food retailers like Food Lion and Walmart.
-
Donations from other partners like - The Beloved Community UMC; Covenant UMC; First Presbyterian Church; and Caring Services, Inc.
-
Food purchased from Second Harvest, or other retailers, with donated funds.

The food is sorted, shelved, and refrigerated. It is then prepped for various sized families. Each bag includes a balance of starches, vegetables, and proteins. Frozen product bags and fresh vegetables, breads, and sweets are also distributed, as available.

Personal hygiene, diapers, and pet food are frequently available.

All items are provided free of charge.

Open on Thursdays from 10am-1pm Eastern Time.
Through our volunteers and generous donors, we provide lightly-worn clothing at greatly reduced prices. We stock clothing for all seasons, sizes, ages, and genders as well as limited household items.
The Clothing Closet is open during the same hours as the Food Pantry. Proceeds from sales are used to purchase food and personal hygiene for distribution.
